What I want 

is a road trip

windows down

music blasting

singing along

breathing freely

no mask

I want to stop every time 

any time

anywhere I want

a store 

a crowded noisy restaurant 

I want to see peoples faces 

their smiles next to me 

an uncareful road trip

unplanned

unsanitized

unwiped 

spread eagle

carefree fun

laughter 

lots of hugging

I want to go on a road trip to montana

wyoming

open vast sky country

space

to breathe

I want to throw myself to the ground

let mother earth catch me

hold me 

protect me

 I want to stop being afraid 

on my road trip

I won't take fear

I will leave it behind

and when it asks to come

as it always does
